In the dynamic world of spinal healthcare, staying at the forefront of advancements is not just a commitment but a necessity. For Sally, the mind behind Braced for
Scoliosis, this pursuit of excellence led her to the heart of innovation at the
British Scoliosis Society (BSS) Conference held on November 9th and 10th in
Liverpool, tagged as #BSS2023.
As a member and committee participant of the BSS, Sally’s attendance at the annual was an opportunity to immerse herself in the latest breakthroughs, connect with fellow professionals, and contribute her insights to the collective pool of
knowledge.
The event featured a diverse array of presentations and discussions. One notable
highlight was the recognition received by Debs Turnbull, a Schroth Therapist
working closely with Sally.

Debs presented a groundbreaking paper, ‘Final Surface: a new clinical tool to accurately measure Severity and Cobb angle of scoliosis in AIS patients with new marker-less trunk surface topography.’ Her achievement, winning the ‘Best Non-Surgical Oral Presentation’ award, not only showcased the calibre of professionals associated with the BSS but also demonstrated the commitment to innovation within the society.
