Female 13 Years of Age with AIS

Middle: In brace – Cobb angle of 14°
Right: Post treatment – Cobb angle of 31°
Patient
A 13-year-old girl diagnosed with Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) presented with an initial Cobb angle of 43°.
Treatment
Abigail was advised elsewhere that bracing would not be effective due to her skeletal maturity and curve size. However, she began full-time Gensingen brace wear alongside Schroth Therapy, committing fully to her programme.
Outcome
After 12 months, Abigail’s in-brace Cobb angle reduced to 14°, showing a significant improvement. She continues to wear her brace part-time through her final growth phase, maintaining spinal alignment and postural correction.
