Sally is an experienced Orthotist specialising in evidence-based conservative treatment of Scoliosis. With almost 20 years’ experience, she has developed a specialist Scoliosis bracing service and become well known as a certified Gensingen brace provider in the South East of England, across the UK and around the world.

Sally is a member of SOSORT, the International Society On Scoliosis Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Treatment, and a board member at the Schroth Best Practice Academy, renowned for its evidence-based method of physical rehabilitation for scoliosis and other spinal deformities. 

Sally is Bupa registered and has specialised in the Gensingen brace since 2017. She is the UK’s most experienced Genisngen brace provider. The Gensingen brace by Dr Weiss works in conjunction with Schroth therapy and is primarily for adolescent and early onset (juvenile) Idiopathic Scoliosis. 

Since meeting, Sally has worked closely with the highly renowned Dr Weiss, who has become a mentor to her over the years. Sally trained with Dr Weiss in Germany, spending a week in April 2023 Training in CAD design of Gensingen braces. Under Dr Weiss’s leadership, Sally is now a recognised CAD brace designer for UK and international counterparts.

“My experience has helped me to understand the psychological impact that wearing a brace throughout childhood can have, I work closely with other therapists, patients and their families to fully support my patients throughout their treatment and beyond. This treatment really works , but compliance is key to the outcome . By adopting a realistic and holistic approach to patient care, we can improve compliance, and ultimately, the end result”.

Sally holds membership with the British Scoliosis Society and SOSORT, the International Society On Scoliosis Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Treatment.
