Sally and Debs are not just a phenomenal Orthotist and Physiotherapist but are in fact lifesavers! Imagine trying to convince your 11 year old daughter to wear a brace for 22 hours a day. It took us 3 months to get there but had it not been for the dedication, time and real care of these remarkable ladies, my daughter would be on the way to having her back cut open and metal rods placed inside.
Their ability to help make a young girl understand the life changing consequences of not wearing her brace, is the most difficult, frustrating and important task imaginable. Had it not been for these two living angels, it would not have happened and my daughter’s well being would have been seriously jeopardised.
Besides achieving this mammoth task, Sally has made numerous tiny adjustments to the brace, as and when they were needed, in order to ensure the brace is as comfortable as it can be. Her patience with my daughters requests, which having witnessed first hand, were often unnecessary (from a physical perspective but helped from a psychological one) and time consuming, has been phenomenal.
Debs may be one of the best Physiotherapists, probably the best when it comes to Schroth Therapy but it is her ability to communicate and get under the skin of her patients (most of which are young girls facing the most extraordinarily difficult challenges for someone of any age) that makes her so very special.
My daughter owes her physical wellbeing to these incredible individuals and I owe them my sanity and ability to sleep at night, something that was nigh on impossible during the time that we found out about my daughters condition and her progression to wearing her brace full time.
